Wine water and words

wine

Winewaterandwords.com combines three of my passions and allows me to share them with you.

My love of wine and the wine industry began in 2004 when my husband and I first visited Napa Valley.  Since then we have focused our efforts on searching for the ultimate Cabernet, Merlot, Malbec, red blend, etc.  You know, the one that explodes your senses and results in an “ooh” or “aah” or ”yum” or “how much of that can we buy?” Along the way we’ve visited numerous wineries, wine bars and have met some fascinating folks.  I will be sharing reviews of these wines, wineries, wine bars and the people behind them.

My love of water began when I was young. I loved swimming in the pool and being near an ocean.   At the age of 7, I began swimming competitively and spent almost a decade forming lifelong friendships both in and out of the pool. During those years, my family vacationed at the beach in Naples, Florida. My passion for swimming resurfaced over a decade later when I took a water aerobics class in Maui while pregnant with our second son.  I was not surprised when both sons began competing on a summer swim team, became state champion swimmers during their high school years, and then coached their summer team when they were too old to compete.  After years of volunteering at swim meets, I was finally able to start a “new” career as a water aerobics instructor and travel with my husband in my “off” season to some fabulous island destinations.  I will be sharing reviews of those destinations along with some of my favorite water aerobics exercises and tips for staying healthy.

My love of words, writing them that is, began in elementary school when I wrote my first short story.  It continued in junior high when I wrote scripts for a TV show starring me and my friends.  And soon I will be releasing my first novel.  I will be sharing sample chapters and character interviews with you.

Thanks to my niece, Sarah, without whose help this website would not have ever happened!  Sarah you are awesome!  And a special thanks to my husband, Chip, who took most of the wonderful photographs you will enjoy on this site.  And extra thanks to my son, Chad, who edited some of the photographs on very short notice!  I love you all to the moon and back!

Cheers,
